TITHING

As believers, it is important that we know what the Bible says about tithing. Tithing is more than giving. The word "tithe" literally means tenth or 10%. Tithing, or giving ten percent of your income, isn't merely giving something to God. It is giving back what was His to begin with. The Bible teaches that tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything. He doesn't need our money; God wants what our money represents: our priorities, passions, and purposes. Through tithing, we remember that God is first in our lives.
