Missions Overview

God intended for the Church to be the primary instrument to reach the world and to make disciples. ...and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. Acts 1:8b

FBC Grand Junction Mission Team

First of all, we want to say a special thanks to FBC Grand Junction for coming out to Utah to serve this past week! This team hit the ground running as soon as they got here. They canvassed multiple neighborhoods and passed out around 4,000 invitations to our block parties. They were also the first team this summer to help serve during the Ogden City Movie Night!

Ogden City Movie Night

Before the summer started, we approached Ogden City about allowing us to serve popcorn at their Monday movie nights. Thankfully, they said yes! This past Monday, we were able to set up a table with information about our church, as well as be a blessing to the community by serving them free popcorn and icee-pops. We talked with lots of people and we are praying for God to bless the seeds that were planted that night. We hope to serve in this capacity several more times during the summer.

Block Parties

With the help of the team from FBC Grand Junction, we hosted two different block parties in two different locations. On Tuesday, we had several hundred people come out to 40th Street Park to enjoy hot dogs (320 of them to be exact!), sno-cones, popcorn and cotton candy. Families from all different backgrounds were able to enjoy this free event and we were able to tell many of them about the free gift that Jesus gave on the cross. We saw several familiar faces of people that have attended our block parties before, but we also saw a lot of new people who are just now finding out about Redemption Church!

Then on Thursday, we had an identical block party at Friendship Park. While we didn't have as many people come out to this park, the less hectic atmosphere allowed us to have several GREAT conversations with people who desperately need Jesus. We also had people in attendance from neighborhoods that we have never before reached into yet. Please continue to pray for the seeds that were planted at both of these block parties. We know that God is working right now in the hearts of the people we talked to!

Thank you!

We are so grateful for all of you, for your prayers and your financial support! If you are interested in sending a mission team sometime this year, please send an email to bobby@redemptionutah.com!
